Madelyn A. Schider; a fine artist born in Oregon wine country and raised near the beaches of North Carolina.

In May of 2022, Madie graduated with honors with a B.S. in Art & Biology from Hillsdale College. She has been granted various awards in fine art, including, drawing, painting, sculpture, etc.

From a young age the beauty of nature has always been a significant part of her life. The serenity and peace she finds from biology and beauty in the world has been a driving factor in her art. She had the privilege to see the beauty of nature in person by camping, hiking and adventuring first hand as a child. As life caught up she wished to express this beauty through something more than a faint memory. Madie’s family gave her the motivation to pursue art, driving her to quickly grasp a style of her own.

As an athlete and scholar, she has a nature for competition and perfectionism which flows into her art through the accuracy of every stroke. She strives to learn more every day, slowly gaining the ability to see the world through the eye of a child of God. Madie’s art expresses the love she has for the present world and the passions she has for the future. Her work will leave an impression on this world.

Art is my form of prayer. Every moment where I can sit down and simply create is a blessing that I am beyond thankful for. Life moves fast and my art allows me to remember the little things in life, by simply painting a small watercolor or finally beginning an oil painting that I’ve had on my mind for weeks. Art is my way of expressing my inner thoughts in an indirect way. In my eyes, the story told in a painting tells more than words ever could.

I hope my art tells you a story you remember.

“I am the true grapevine, and my Father is the gardener. He cuts off every branch of mine that doesn’t produce fruit, and he prunes the branches that do not bear fruit so they will produce even more. You have already been pruned and purified by the message I have given you. Remain in me, and I will remain in you. For a branch cannot produce fruit if it is severed from the vine, and you cannot be fruitful unless you remain in me.” -John 15:1-4
